S11 - The Savior of Iwasaki Report
General Summary
The rest of the farmstead was undamaged after the battle however it was reported that Yuri, Seno's sister, was missing. Nonaka and Seno remained unconscious and were being watched in Nonaka's house. Akira, Mizuki, and Jugen investigate the destroyed house and its surroundings but couldn't find anything amiss. Kyo and Jiko confront Akira, asking if he was indeed the heir of the Kokuen clan. Akira denied it and added that he didn't know who Minami was. Kyo then threatens Akira with his sword but upon seeing that it doesn’t glow in the boy’s presence, he and Jiko back down.
At the party's dwelling, Yamami furtively peeks out on the farmers outside. Murasaki tells her that they should use her newfound deification to rouse some of them to fight, but Yamami wanted nothing to do with them. Murasaki goes out to recruit in her name anyway. The farmers, who did not want to betray Yamami's "will," eagerly followed Murasaki's instruction to run ten laps around the farmstead as an endurance test. The rest of the party were too late to stop them and they were then summoned by Nonaka, who had awoken already.
Nonaka, still smarting from his burns, asks the party what happened. Kyo recounts the fight, while Jugen reports that Saigomura was lost. Nonaka then asks the party what they know about Akira, but no one was able to give him a coherent answer. Annoyed, he steps out while the party tries to get their story straight. Outside, he learns about the jogging farmers and angrily stomps back in to confront Yamami. Murasaki interjects that the farmers were being given a greater purpose, but Nonaka furiously responds that they were not warriors and that fighting was the party’s job. The two hurl insults at each other and it results in Nonaka saying that he's giving up and leaving Iwasaki. He exits, but Sana, Yamami, and Mizuki chase after him.
The remaining party started to grill Akira. Kyo muses on killing the boy if he turns out to be a spy, while Jugen and Murasaki agree that people from the wall are trustworthy. Kyo and Jiko go out to speak in private and Akira tries, but fails, to eavesdrop on them.
The women catch up to Nonaka and apologize for Murasaki's actions. Nonaka remained unconvinced, so Yamami immediately heads out to the jogging farmers and tells them to stop. She mentions that Murasaki is a vile temptress and that they weren't warriors, but will instead be the best farmers of the land. Exhausted, the farmers gratefully return to their regular duties.
The party reunites at Nonaka's house and Mizuki rages on Murasaki for her treatment of Nonaka. To the side, Seno wakes up from unconsciousness. He reveals that his sister was tricked by Minami into swallowing the bead. She believed that it would improve their lives, but it transformed her into the Kijo instead. Guilt and grief overwhelm him, and the party tries their best to comfort him.
