S07 - Arrival at Iwasaki Report
General Summary
Back at Otorii Castle, Murasaki and Sana await further orders from Lady Kisei. They were told to stay behind cause Lady Kisei needed to give two things to the party, but these things had not arrived yet. The first was a supply of jade for the Onikiris and the party, but the garrisons supply had been running low and was due for a shipment from Midoriko-machi any time soon. The second was something that Hakase had asked Lady Kisei to acquire for him, but the people Lady Kisei have sent to retrieve it have yet to return.
Half the day goes by, but neither the jade or Hakase's request have arrived. Worried, Lady Kisei instructs Murasaki to tell the party of their additional assignments: investigate Midoriko town, and the ruins of Otohama. With that Sana and Murasaki set off.
Hono and Kyo are being escorted by the nervous farmer to Nonaka Kunio, Lady Kisei's contact and the village chief of Iwasaki farmstead, however they decide to reunite with the party and double back. On their way back they encounter Sana and Murasaki after having a brief misunderstanding. They head back with to reunite with the others.
Back at the camp, the air is tense and Akira has calmed down but seems lifeless. Shortly after the party reunites, Hono and Kyo inform the party that Iwasaki seems fine. They pack up and set off for the farmstead.
Along the way, Tagoshi gathers the party members who were stationed at the wall and discuss Akira. Tagoshi thinks that Akira is somehow connected to the Disciples of Kokuen, while thinking Kitagawa is somehow involved. Fujioka mentions to the party that her ancestor wants to kill Akira, saying that the boy is harboring the Kokuraiju, an ancient evil of terrible power. The discussion was inconclusive as they arrive at Iwasaki.
The party is brought to Nonaka Kunio, a Monban veteran who was given a large share of the farmlands of Iwasaki due to his valor and deeds. However, introductions turned south when Kyo and Murasaki acted disrespectfully, and things went from bad to worse when Murasaki accused Nonaka for "not doing his job". Nonaka storms out.
Hakase, Tagoshi, Fujioka, and Tsuji go after Nonaka and clear things up. Being informed of the current events, Nonaka realizes that things are far worse than he originally imagined.
