S01 - Gate Crash Report

General Summary

Reiji, Indie, and Jugen are all stirred awake as Otorii Castle is ambushed from within. Ronin from the Kokuen clan posing as conscripts attacked the garrison in the dead of night, killing a good number of soldiers but with the help of Reiji, Indie, and Jugen the Kokuen Ronin were dealt with with no further casualties or damage to structure within the stronghold.

However, giving no time for rest, an undead army lead by a small group of Maho-Tsukai marched on the south wall of Otorii castle. Jun-Taichou rallied the army and prepared to defend the wall. To make matters worse, the War Drums of Otorii Kabe were booming, a force was approaching north of Otorii. Jun-Taichou, desperate, split the already devastated army in two, putting Reiji and Jugen in command.

The two armies clash, Reiji, Jugen and Indie defending the wall. On the other side of the battlefield, Kyo, Sana, and the three Shinobi arrive from the portals and attacked the surprised Maho-Tsukai. This gave the defending force an edge, as defeating the Maho-Tsukai first released the control they had over the zombies. The Monban soldiers were able to rout the remaining undead once the Maho-Tsukai were defeated allowing Reiji and Jugen to win the battle.

Reiji, Jugen, and Indie meet their reinforcements, and after exchanging pleasantries they join the other battle north of Otorii.

The battle north of the wall looked grim, but with the reinforcements as well as the party arriving on the scene bolstered the troops allowing them to beat back the Kuramoto force. All looked well, but a Gashadokuro arrived on scene. Jun-Taichou pulled back her soldiers, knowing full well that they wouldn't be able to harm the titanic Yokai and turned to the party to beat it back.

In the last moments of the fight, each and every one in the party awakened some dormant power within them, allowing them to defeat the Gashadokuro.
