The Knife Wars

Talanis Mendlock was on of the Lord Peers by the time the knife wars started. He uses his new position to ask of his underlings to plunder and steal any precious items they see on their way, saying that the church will pure them of their sin and have a good use with them. He didn't mean to give it to no church office, he was keeping them for himself, melting metals and taking the jewellery off of them. Even trying to sell the more, peculiar of them, to some Ashurian peddlers. With new coppers in his pocket, he could renovate the old house he and his two kids (one adopted) lived in. He also sent them to the Collage of New Senex so they won't have to live in poverty any more.

Found out

In the end Talanis was found out while doing one of his deals with a tieflings paddler the church was looking to make an example of for all the tieflings that still came to Highrune and brought their sin there. He was to be burned at the stake with the tiefling but he asked, for all of his time serving the church, to be burned at his town so his daughter could bury what will be left of him. And so it was done.
