Hillshollow Crest Village

Hillshollow Crest Village is named for the large hill the majority the small village is settled upon. It was founded over a hundred years ago as a farming community. Its residents built it in a motte and bailey fashion for its strategic value.

Race

The racial majority of Hillshollow oppresses most of the minority. Dragon-born, and dwarfs are still considered good builders, but will get a bad rap about their "drinking problems" and "want for gold". A galfling is good for fun, storytelling, and cheering up, but its all that its good for. The lord Gozma Lilibound, will even sometimes tax the other races more as they "Ought to dwell wh're those freaks w're born". The Viscountess is more forgiving of different races, and she keeps the finest dwarven crafters as her personal jewelers.

Government

Once, the serfs under the king who ruled the village were the Giff-Claw Family but since all their men has died in the war the House of Lilibound took over the village. The taxes are collected by a mayor of the town, the Lady of Giff-Claw, Viscountess Marisha and she is a lady in her own right, as servent of the Lilibound she is a Viscountess. The taxes are stored in the bailey together with all the food stocks and the viscountess lives up the hill. The bailey is also where the the holy artisans guild of Hillshollow resides. This is to make it so all armor and weapons crafted wont be stolen and given directly to the lord militia.

Defences

The Mayor of the city is defended by the motte and bailey castle. The Bailey is still a stip clime even if water is not running in the motte, the hill is covered with layers of clay at the top then soil, black soil, hard made ground, clay stones, and clay at the very bottom. The Hill also makes it that anyone in the watchtower can see incoming threats. The House of Griffin-Claw also commends 120 militia troops who act as guards, scouts, and officers of the law.

Industry & Trade

Hillshollow is known for its fine clothing market, a feature that was requested by the first lady of Lilibound. On the 4th day of the One Offering, they celebrate the new year in a festival as the main market is filled with the latest iterations of items of clothing. This also happens on the harvest festival who is full of vegetables and fruits, like any other settlements but in the village of Hillshollow winter clothes are also on display.
