Elvenhime

The fey city of Elvenhime is located just on the Hosszu Kek River west bank and hidden in the Blue fey forest. The city mostly built on treetops, and other Plantae, as it accommodates the forest and doesn't destroy it, rather, the buildings are a branching extension of it.   Elvenhime is known for its magical veil protecting any who comes inside it from harm.

Some believe the veil magic is granted from Eliwyn or the River king, and that the city should be left alone. Others know that this city harbors many Primal Casters and wish to be rid of them for the good of Highrune. The magical veil was put on in the time of the great burning to save those inside Eevenhime from the wrath of Cogadh.   An individual who tries to get to Elvenhime to harm its citizens get lost in the forest, or on the river, who is said to hold the most marvelous creatures, from the magical water fey to unicorns.

Notable Locations

More than any other city in Highrune, Elvenhime has some of the most fabulous locations that might resemble other Highrunian cities in names but not in look or function. The city is huge in size, coving half of the forest, and not wasting a bit of land or tree branches. It is then distinguished into Boroughs, each lad by his its own mayor.

Hartscastle Borough

The closest to the center of Elvenhime, and hosting The holiest, sacred tree of Elowyn.
The Theatre of Aengus : A grand stone-walled theatre. They mostly play comedies that depicts certain nobles in a not so good light.
The Guildhall: A grand timber and brick building, once an inn house. It contains a large meeting hall and several smaller rooms and is shared amongst several local trade guilds. When the guilds host a celebration they might let some high-rank guildmembers to say and sleep there.
Zita's Clocks: A modest clockmaker's workshop, within which time seems to pass more slowly. Zita the Gnome has owned this shop since it was built to this day.

Orchard Village

Lada's Carvings: A modest woodcarver's workshop, built within a copse of hawthorn trees.
The Rookery of Idols: A block of cramped and densely-set houses, piled several stores high. Each house appears to have a crude idol, each of a different wild spirit.

The Sacred Temple of Elowyn

Secrad tree temple
In the middle of Harthcastle Borouge lays an old tree, With a breach of Hosszu Kek, running just under her, is the most sacred place for fair-touched and druids in all of Highrune. The temple itself is inside the tree trunk, always glowing with red candles that warm the visitors of the temple, Even in the sunniest of days it is possible to see the candles from the other side of Elvenhime. This temple of Eliwyn is the centrepiece for the circle of wren. All of the circle's rituals are done inside that tree trunk. For the big public ceremonies, the ground around the secured tree is used. The members of the circle of wren may choose to excommunicate people from religious festivals, making them social outcasts. This temple is said to be the source of power that protects the citizens of Evlenhime from the wrath of the church or any who wishes to harm them.

Grove Borough

Deep down within the city of Elvenhime, where most visitors won't even notices, lays the great Grove Borough. Housing the four brook wards. The Grove hosts mostly magic users, creatures and fey.

South Brook

If you spot South Brook you will spot its signature building: A single storey half-timbered building, the home and personal library of a male elf sage named Stana. He specializes in the study of elemental and planar magic.

East Brook

The Broken Staff: A neglected adventurer's inn, kept by a retired adventurer named Órlaith.

North Brook

This ward is most of the schools are.
The Athenaeum of Sorcery: A small school of witches and wizards, built within a ship hanging on vines. This ship is rumored to once belonged to the first king of the humans. The Yawning Pub: A large adventurer's tavern, said to be built atop an ancient dungeon.

West Brook

This place is like a little dwarven city in the middle of elvenhime, Dwarfs who maddle too much with primal magic usually cant stay in Highrune, But some run away to here and make a new home.
The Green Cup: A modest dwarven tavern, which serves only gin.

Unicorn's Borough

The Unicorn's Borough houses the most unique places in elvenhime. This is the place of the curt of the river, where most of the royalty lives, each part of it represents a side of the river's magic, but none of them rules the city. Those who are part of the courts are fey courtiers, and the fey lords and ladies. All of them are respected in the city. Should any visitor or citizen not give them the appropriate respect, they can do what is in their power to punish them, and no one will stop them. The River King is the fey-lord and god of elvenhime and his magic is the one protecting its citizens from others harm, though he will not stop any malevolent fey from entering its grounds.
The Hunter and Spear: A heroic commoner's inn, entirely managed by squirrels.
The Courthouse: A large timber and brick building, filled with busy magistrates and advocates.
The Orchid Inn: A heroic elven tavern, in its garden if it's a good sunny day, you might find the princes of the Seelie court.
The Floating Alley: The ground between the buildings here appears to fall away into a vast blue sky. A path of floating stones offers the only way across.
