Sragos

Very few people build a name for themselves in Sragos. While all that die here are honoured, the number is far too high. A breeding program was initiated to help build up the ranks, wherein the strongest and most gifted were asked to bear offspring hoping that the next generation will inherit their good traits. Not wishing to get too attached, this program’s children were granted numbers rather than names. One such child is the grand general in Sragos, and has been for over a decade. His “name” is XIII, and he has become the grand general. He is kind, but strong. He is well regarded for his personality and tactical knowledge. Shortly after he took over, the life expectancy in Sragos went from just under a year to over five.   There is a grouping of farms at the base of the mountains to feed the soldiers. At the camp itself it is very makeshift. It has as many tents as it does buildings. Just outside the camp is the “killing fields.” Where the planes intersect our own. It is completely decimated, as the fire plane can scorch the grounds, the air plane blows anything that’s not bolted down, and the various evil planes will simply claw at anything within reach.

Demographics

Almost all races are welcomed. The majority of the inhabitants are humans, dwarves, and gnomes. Outsider races are viewed with suspicion (such as tieflings). Other traditionally “evil” races such as Drow and Dhampir are politely requested to find elsewhere they can help, as the paladins in Sragos often are distracted by their presence. Most people who come to live here die shortly after taking up residence.

Government

Sragos is run more like a military encampment than a city. Grand General XIII lends a watchful eye over operations. The inhabitants of Sragos have no time for criminals and lawbreakers. If you cause trouble you’re either shoved into battle on the front lines, or shoved out from the rear into exile. Particularly egregious offenses are either executed on the spot by the soldiers of the town, or “left to die” at the hands of the outsiders. Whatever god can give you the strength to fight on is welcome here. The more lawful and good it is the better, with Krava and Onetta having particularly strong representation amongst the troops. Swords can be found stabbed into the ground all through Sragos; both to serve as grave markers of fallen, and worship of Krava.

Defences

Virtually non existent. Thankfully the land is protected by mountains, but should the inhabitants of Sragos fall, the outsiders would have very little difficulty leaving. Nearby Light's Bastion provides the smallest of assistance should something go wrong.

Industry & Trade

Sragos generates no income on its own, it produces nothing but corpses. Sragos gets its supplies and food from donations throughout Aseon and some from Cantor. There is a town called Light’s Bastion with its own farms set up at the base of the mountains on the other side of it to help ensure food production. Otherwise, money is of little use to the inhabitants of Sragos, as every day is a battle for life and death.
