Spike is a recurring character from Heroic Ties. He is the son of Tatsu Oviba and Lissandra Varren.

Spike is a large individual and often seen as a gargantuan among average size humans. He has also known to have a very strong physical condition that allows him to perform more feats than Sol Karma, to the latter's surprise.

Special abilities

Being a Lupine Morpher, Spike has enhanced hearing and able to become a fast lion with pouncing capabilities.

Personal history

Spike was born from previous East Isterian royalty and a member of the Solarian Oviba family. Being a strong individual from both his mother and father's side, he is much like them. For most of his growing up, he traveled around hunting in Isteria during the Omega Conflict. His lion form was completely grown at an early age, making him much larger than the normal Hellhound. His caretakers for much of his young life was Sol Karma who would then be his king.
It's said by Spike himself that he refuses the true rite of being a king as it would make him someone he is not and that he trusts King Sol entirely to keep his home safe. His undying loyalty leads him as a Grand General of the Neo King's Guard. His efforts of always hitting second lands him as a powerhouse for negotiations. It's often said that if Spike Oviba can be knocked out in the first punch, then there should be no negotiation as they are not human.
Spike continues to keep his loyalty to Sol Karma and hunts in his spare time, learning the ways of monsters and replicating their powers while keeping his own style strong.

It has been noted among the military in Shinegard that Spike really dislikes vegetables. He has become a training regimen for soldiers and knights alike by Sol Karma to try and get him to eat vegetables. This more often than not has caused many injuries in the ranks.
