Morpher

Morphers are a returning humanistic species in Heroic Legends.

Basic Information

Biological Traits

Morphers, or also known as Yuntarians are descendants of an old race that was able to commune to the life on Terra. Their powers and life are chosen through a communal bond with a spirit of an animal race; be it land, air or sea. When born, the offspring has an affinity to have an easier bond with the spirit of their parents. However, this may not always be the case as some can commune with those outside of their "tribe." When they commune, the morpher is then able to grow with characteristics similar to the spirit they bonded with; some having changed ears or skin traits. Some would grow scales, or even feathers. These traits also would end up becoming a total transformation when the bond is finalized.

Genetics and Reproduction

Morphers are born and reproduce like normal humans. Despite some of the animals they morph into are not mammals, they reproduce as a mammal regardless.

Ecology and Habitats

After the constant hunting of these beings, they have been rare and spread out across the world. Although it is not surprising to find them somewhere integrated into cities.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Morphers have heightened senses depending on the spirit of the animal that they are infused with;
Piscine have an increased swimming capability and seen having scaled skin and fins on their ankles, elbows and wrists
Lupines have increased running speeds and improved hearing. They are known to have long, furry ears.
Avian have heightened sight and have feathers across their arms and ears.
  All of the types have the ability to tap into their personal spirit and as their name suggests, morph into the animal they represent if only temporarily.
Conservation Status
Many times in the past, wars have been made to protect this species from the extinction created by old Etherian governments and West Isterians. They have become almost extinct to where a pure breed of Morpher is near impossible. Most are half breeds or less as they were taken in by humans for safety and ended up marrying.
