World Swallower

Mouth of the Sea

The World Swallower is the name given to a very large part of the sea, notorious for sucking in ships and anything else that crosses it's path. The locals of Oshinlans believe that it is an entrance into another world.

Localized Phenomena

The World Swallower has been recorded as having emitted 'horn' like sounds when observed from a distance. A dense fog sits in the abnomaly for all of the morning hours and only begins to fade in the afternoon. The fog has been recorded as being swallowed up.

History

First discovered in 53NE by the original settlers of the Oshinlans. The World Swallower got it's name apon arrival as the original settlers lost 3 ships to the World Swallower. It wasn't for another 28 years, in 71NE until Zacor Antu led an expidition to study the World Swallower. For a whole week he and his crew sailed around the abnomaly until returning to their hometown of Skart. The only significant thing they discovered was a horn like sound that they heard within the direction of the abnomaly. They were unable to identify the cause of the sound and attributed it to the World Swallower.
