Kyrea
The largest port city in Grecia, it remains as a hub for travellers to arrive within the region by sea and such it is very common to have large influxes of new arrivals every day. The city proper is split up into 4 separate districts:
Deck-Hands
This is known as the slums of the city, the roads here could barely be considered roads as it is more a poorly maintained mud track that goes between the houses. The inn here, The Drowning Elf, is visited by humans and halflings alike. Elves would do well to avoid this part of the town, the populous here do not take kindly to Elves, owing to the political disputes within the region. As fitting with the name of the district, the people that work here are mostly sailors or workers on the docks helping to load/unload ships coming into port.Common
The area most common for residents of Kyrea, or people that work in the merchants quarter. It is the place where the commoners that aren’t up to scratch to stay with the elvish populous, the streets are cobbled but poorly maintained but they are there. The streets here are partially patrolled with guards to ensure they keep the peace.Merchants
The busiest area of the city, mostly always alive with merchants willing to make a quick sale, a common phrase to hear from this section of the city is “Red and orange, yellow and green, the finest veggies, Kyrea’s ever seen” a smart marketing slogan used by most, if not all, of the fresh produce sellers in the city. The southern part of the merchants district is mostly consisting of fish and exotic goods obtained from the large port that Kyrea possesses. The guards do not patrol here, but instead are positioned at every entrance to the district and also at strategic points around the merchant stalls, mostly light armoured in order to peruse any would-be thieves in the area.High End
The most elegant and sophisticated part of Kyrea. The roads and pathway here are the most well maintained in the city, and regularly patrolled with guards stationed around on almost every corner not that it is needed. This district in Kyrea has barely any crime, mostly owing to the fact that it is mostly populated by High Elves and sophisticated Humans. It houses the Elven courts, various libraries, and gem storesDemographics
9.9% Elven, 45% Human, 45% Halfling, 3 Dwarves
Defences
It posses strong stone walls on all sides, with battlements across. Regular positions of gatehouses and guardhouses allow easy access to the walls from any point in the city in the events of an attack.
