The Bastardborn

"The Bastardborn fell that day, and close on the heels of his death came the end of his war."
The Bastardborn is the title given to Prince Ellas during and after the War. He is called such because while he was King Aquilla's firstborn son, his mother was not the queen. Ellas was supported by most of the Northern nobles in his claim to the throne, and led them in battle himself when that claim was challenged by his half-brother Romero. Ultimately losing the war, Ellas fell in the final battle, the Siege of the Hold. The Bastard's War is named for him.
