An ancient lich and his undead allies living in the ruins of a school of magic

History

Mladris, Ezon, and Allyria first came across the Black Archive and its capricious master when they rescued Mirian Littelton from her imprisonment, after she inadvertently incurred Zykon's interest. In exchange for her freedom and some information, the party cleared out the lower parts of the archives. Below, Ezon found the Twisted Blade and the party faced off against mutated wasps and a gibbering mouther. Its final words were "The gateway to my father lies beneath the estate. Seek your demise and meet your creator." Later on, Zykon sent Junia to kill Sally Toestealer, a hag who has a long history with Zykon. The party fended off a small group of skeletons. meanwhile, Mladris helped Junia out of her depression over losing her connection to The Light after becoming undead. Dismas, the undead alcoholic, eventually visited the party and negotiated a shipment of wood and other building supplies for the Archives. After returning to Tenemor, the party visited Zykon for advice. They found the Black Archives to be completely repaired and remodeled. After supplying him with luxurious gifts of curtains and rugs, Zykon shared that Malachai's ancestor began the school of magic that is now the Black Archives. A few days later, Zykon sent over some beautiful leatherbound tomes for the party's new library. The party sent a casket of their new Hunter's Vintage whiskey in return.
