In his youth, Sir Kettan Zaldarne was a puissant tournament knight, prone to deeds of derring-do, and something of a dandy.
The death of his father and his subsequent in-heritance changed the frivolous young knight, and he has settled down to a stalwart supporter of the Constable Eres Tereneth of Baseta.
Having married a daughter of clan Synarth, he has sired two sons, and is a devoted father and husband.
So changed was he by his father’s death, that most of his youthful friends have abandoned him, and his stolid character has attracted no new ones.
Sir Ketten is a lonely man – if only he realized it. The manor of 1510 acres has only lost one villager to the murders, but Sir Ketten – who fulfills his own feudal service – has offered to lead the investigation himself.
The Constable has so far not taken him up on that offer.
