Isoxato
Isoxatos are the dominant predators on Conke Northern Hemisphere. They live in the plateaus near the volcanos. Although isoxatos can't survive direct contact with lava, this species has developed an exoskeleton highly resistant to the extreme heat of this environment.
Reproduction
Isoxato can reproduce two or three times in the adult stage of their lives, with the same or different partners. Isoxato lay between two or five eggs, approximately half an orbit around the star, after the fertilization. During the last phase of the gestation, both parents gets ready for the birth of their babies.
The Isoxato carrying the eggs uses its strong claws to make holes in the ground to bury the eggs, the other makes sure their partners has food. Once they have the eggs buried in the holes on quarter of an orbit passes until they hatch.
For that moment the new parents have built tunnels to feed their offsprings while they develop the exoskeleton they need to tolerate the extreme heat of the environment, after another half orbit passes the isoxatos are ready to spread the wings and learn how to survive guided by its parents.
Stages
Egg: 0.80 to 1 m
Hatchling: 1 to 1.5 m
Young: 1.5 to 2 m
Adult: 3.2 m
Solitary predators
Isoxato are at the top of the food chain in this area. The only one with a chance to kill one is another of the same species but bigger. The isoxatos hunt alone or with their chosen partner. They feed on smaller creatures and If faced with another isoxato for a prey, they fight until one is killed and the survivor eats both the prey and the defeated one.
They are very protective and aggressive in every gestation phase because isoxatos sometimes hunt other's tunnel to feed on the eggs.

Interesting predator! Be careful in some places you spell the name Isoxatos and in other Ixosatos... I'm not sure which one you meant as the correct one!
I had fun creating them! thank you for pointing out the misspelling. I'll fix it :D
