Liev'thalaren VonBorin'taal
Born within the heart of the east of Hanneth in the former capital, Raven's Roost City. She was a commoner who worked within the castle as a maid. However, the prince Loreth Von Borin’taal fell deeply in love with her and married her. She was beloved by the people and as a queen she was kind to the common people.
Liev’thalaran and Loreth loved each other very much, but everything changed with the birth of their son. Liev’thalaran’s birthing was difficult and scarred her deeply so she could never have another child. They named their son, Haltier, who suffered from the difficult birth.
Haltier was often sickly and would bruise and bleed very easily. No one could heal the disease, despite the powerful arcane and divine magics available. Many said the boy would be lucky to make it to his teens.
Liev’thalaran and Loreth became increasingly desperate, hiding their son’s disability from the common folk in fear the people would never respect a sickly heir. Rumors still snuck their way out of the palace. A curse, a new disease, or perhaps divine punishment. Liev’thalaran devoted herself to the gods, hoping they would pity her plight if she were pious enough. Loreth, however, sought out darker means.
Liev’thalaran argued with her husband for a long time about his increasingly worrying methods. However, Loreth became increasingly angry and bitter until he even became abusive to his wife. Liev spiraled into depression, begging the gods for pity and mercy, but found no reprieve. Little did she know, Loreth and his mages had hidden the castle from the sight of the gods.
Liev, despondent, jaded, and affected by the dark magic permeating the castle, threw herself from the battlements. Much to her shock, she survived. Taking this as the sign from the gods she had been praying for Liev fled Raven's Roost. She finally collapsed from her wounds and was found by the Hero General, Henthari Wrightmeer. Delighted to find that not all the world had become corrupted, she explained what was happening and joined the rebellion. She became a strong willed cleric and became a Hero General herself.
During the final battle for Raven's Roost, Liev faced her husband in combat with her party and two other generals. They were unable to stop The Reckoning. Liev'thalaren was one of only three people to survive the blast inside the castle, and her unconscious form was found by Henthari. She eventually recovered, but was never the same.
She now rules as Governess of the Exalted Territory and has outlawed all Arcane magics within her territory.
