Archibast

Archibast is a massive tropical planet located in the south system. The planet is primarily aquatic, featuring two floating plates suspended above the surface that continuously spill water, earning it the nickname "The Fountain Planet." This constant flow of water sustains the planet's lush vegetation and contributes to its vibrant ecosystem.

Geography

Archibast consists of two massive floating islands, with the smaller one positioned above the larger one. The smaller top plate showers water down onto the middle plate, and from there, water cascades to the lower planet's surface, creating a perpetual rainfall effect. The planet's surface is mostly covered in water, with scattered islands and archipelagos dotting the expansive oceans. Some of these islands are inhabited, while others remain deserted and untouched.
Additionally, Archibast boasts a moon known as L'oeuf Glorieux. This small jungle planet orbits Archibast. L'oeuf Glorieux is shrouded in lush vegetation.

Culture

The main inhabitants of Archibast are zebras, who make up the majority of the population. However, there is also a notable presence of ponies and sea ponies, adding to the planet's cultural diversity. The zebras have adapted to the aquatic environment, utilizing their stripes as camouflage in the underwater foliage and developing impressive swimming abilities.
Archibast's cultures are diverse and deeply rooted in religious beliefs. The inhabitants hold various faiths and worship different deities. Crabs, in particular, are considered significant figures symbolizing good luck in many island cultures. Some of these cultures even incorporate crab hunting and consuming crabs into their religious rituals.

Economy and Commerce

Archibast's economy thrives on its abundant natural resources and flourishing trade. The planet is renowned for its diverse agricultural produce, including Coffees, Spinny-Top Bananas, Tri-Coconuts, Mineapples, Bangos, Sugar, and Flayleaf. These exotic fruits, crops, and spices are highly sought after throughout the South System and beyond, making Archibast a significant center of commerce. The planet's integration of Esperanto has facilitated trade and communication, further solidifying its position as a hub of economic activity.
