Artobazanes was the son of Bardiya and Roxana. It is unknown if he was sired by Gaumata. He was trained by Darius from a young age to potentially take the throne, as he had all of the qualities of a perfect leader. He was a remarkably beautiful man and magnificent warrior. It was never to be because Xerxes claim to the throne was superior.

On the day of the insurrection, Arto put himself between a horde of fiends and his younger brother Ariabignes. He held them off long enough for Aria to escape inside and airship going to Eon. He was then consumed by them.
