Purpose / Function

The archive records the happenings of Hafiz City; records the ratification of all Arak Nahs Ida proposals to the crown; records all debate victories and their societal implications; securely accumulates lore, obscure and mystical treatise and general information/knowledge. One must have royal endorsement or be an Academic to gain full access to The Archive of the Crone and it is heavily guarded by Guardsmen of the Faith and is serviced by a large number of Faithful Servants (see The Faith Militant.

Architecture

A vast library and publishing house that is set in a 6 story tower within the center of The Academy complex. It is mostly slate adorned with gold trim.

History

Prior to the Nolat Neaj Dynasty, the archive was a loosely organized affair... subject to scroll moths, mold and theft; Hafizis saw little value in its upkeep, sponsorship or role in society. With the advancement in industry, R&D, farming techniques and changes in cultural values around knowledge and learning, the Archive began to take greater and greater shape.

With the Flodur Dynasty taking control of Hafiz city's destiny, Arak Nahs Ida's royal funding increased, scholarship began to thrive and so did the library. The Nab Cigam in many ways was this catalyst because any taboo related to lore or study was quelled through the ban on magic. Now, Hafizis who were motivated to enter into scholarship could do so without the fear of being labeled a wizard or witch, they just needed clearance from the Academy or the crown to do so.
