The Tormentor

Loviatar is an evil goddess of torturers, slavers, and jailers, making her the strong rival of Ilmater, The Endurance. Her worshippers are those who take others' freedom and creatures living in the darkness below. It is said that pathways under the world are the result of her tears of pain and anger, and her realm is a network of deadly caves and manacles.
The Tormentor is a jealous goddess, and she will seek to destroy any rivals that try to challenge her rule over the domains of torture and imprisonment.
Since being sealed away by the gods that stood against the Betrayers, Loviatar has never truly healed from the wounds she suffered. Every attempt to leave her prison is a torturous attempt on her permanently broken body. As the goddess of torturers, she takes inspiration from each failed attempt as new ways to inflict pain on mortals.
Her largest following lies in Merredicia, a kingdom uplifted on the back of slaves. Her followers live by these commandments:

• Seek and exalt places where no light touches.
• Revel in the pain you inflict on others, and relish the pain you suffer yourself as an offering to the Crawling King.
• Imprison those who cannot resist you, and drag all life into the darkness.
