The Endurance

Ilmater is a deity who's domain includes endurance, martyrdom, perseverance, and suffering. He is the god of those who suffer, the oppressed, and the persecuted, who offers them relief and support, encourages them to endure, and who encourages his followers to help them, to ease their suffering, take their burdens, or even take their place.

Bonds

Most places where slavery remains legal have laws and rules in place to help ensure a certain quality of life. But even with that, and the fact that plenty of nations around the world have no such law, ensures that there is no shortage of those in bonds who call upon Ilmater to help ease their suffering and help them endure. - As such, he is considered to be the rival of Loviatar, The Tormentor.

• Ilmater is depicted as a strong-built human with a beaten-down, buckled posture, visibly broken bones and lashes and lacerations that forever mark his skin.
• His symbol is two hands bound at the wrist with red cord.
