Here he is, his light skin shimmering in the shadows he crouches in, his eyes pricks of light in the twilight night. Here is the sailor-born Karx, child of the seas. He is of the Monomak, a nation in its own right, yet without a land to call its home.

Personal history

Karx was born unwanted, but as it is very much against Monomak culture to leave a child unclaimed, his father brought him into the family. He was always shunted to the side however, and when one of his older siblings got in trouble, he was framed. Karx didn't want to make a big deal out of it and was willing to get banished and punished for a crime he didn't commit, but his friend convinced him not to and helped him escape. However he was effectively banished from the Monomak ships because he would be a recognized criminal. He took on a large amount of odd jobs, and eventually became a fighter and assassin for a group working against the Aelgari Empire.
