Aelgai

Aelgai is a complicated language with deep roots in the jungle where the Empire formed.

Writing System

The most common vowel formation is the "ai" or "ae" unions and the most common consonants include, q, x, z, k and g.

Geographical Distribution

This is the main language of the Aelgari Empire. Its use is enforced in conquered territories, but is not a native language to the Islanders or the recently conquered border territories.

Phonology

It is pronounced much in the same way as Spanish. However, x makes a "ks" sound and g always makes a hard g sound. J makes a soft j sound such as what you would find in French,"ai" is pronounced as in the word mine, and "ae" is pronounced as in the word bay.
