Leilah Takashi

Leilah Takashi

Leilah, the youngest of eight children and the twin sister of <Name> and the only girl to the Daimyo Toshio Takashi of the Blood Moon Clan upon the isle of Torrok was born four years before the start of the War of the Clans, this heralded the year of Enlightenment. Like the others of her clan she was bestowed the gift of blood magic passed down by their god Madara. Within the Blood Moon Clan, there is a rite of passage which usually occurs at the age of eighteen, during this time the children of the clan are bitten and exchange the blood of their father, however it can be someone else if the father is not available. When blood is exchanged, the child goes through a painful few days where they require a lot of will power and great strength to survive, then they are offered their first feed, once more will power is needed and a skilled member of the clan to guide them through this first empowering in order to not kill their sacrifice.   To Leilah's mother Ayame's horror and despair, Leilah was never interested in the more feminine side to living within the Blood Moon Clan, instead of dresses and make up she preferred to learn what her brothers were learning, keeping a home and husband happy were not the top of her list of wants instead she wanted to be the best swordswoman, she learnt to fight with katanas and other melee weapons. Despite her desire for being a swordswoman, Leilah was promised at birth to Kento the eldest boy of Hanari another highly respected family within the Clan. This, however, was not to be Leilah's fate, when Kento was accused of lying with a female from the opposing Clan the Wusong Clan, he admitted that this was true and claimed that the girl was carrying an abomination within her womb, which led to an historic moment of the two opposing clans to speak in order to find the girl. They were unsuccessful. Of course, this also led to the Hanari family to be disgraced and in turn, Leilah was no longer promised to Kento. Instead she was left to her own desires until she became a teenager.   Leilah was seventeen when her father Toshio, informed her that he believed she had come of age for the ritual of immortality, naively Leilah thought this meant that she would find the task easier. Entering into the crypt within the family estate, she exchanged blood with her father and spent a gruelling four days fighting the nightmares that came with the changes of immortality, before being taken under the wing of her eldest brother Yukimara, guiding her through her first feed, which is always a human feed, before then also taking her to the dragons. The dragons have always exchanged their blood with the Blood Moon Clan for their safety and food, the relationship between the dragons and the clan is very symbiotic. Two years after becoming an immortal Leilah was given the permission from her father to travel, which she has done since then, learning much of the world and has become a rather skilled Navigator in the process.
