-Sigil of Korzhad-

Korzhad Dwarves
The Dwarves of Korzhad are an ardent race of Artisans and Scholars, though one of their greatest achievements is the discovery of Khorzite, an ancient and powerful metal beneath their mountains.
Khorzite
Material | Sep 1, 2021
Their discovery led to the spread of even more innovation of their already advanced smithing techniques. Khorzite tools led to a greater ability to cold forge different metals, allowing for very specific tolerances and very accurate dimensions in the metal. Even low quality metal could be forged into works of art which would otherwise be impossible with hot forging techniques. Though the real export of Korzhad is their vast knowledge of history and study of divine magicks. Dwarven acolytes, clerics and scribes start their education very early in life. Some of the greatest secrets are kept in the vault of Korzhad, one of the most protected treasuries that is known. The dwarves of Korzhad, though massive in population, are among the most tight knit and family-oriented peoples in all of Gullonde.
The stat bonuses for the Dwarves of Korzhad are as follows:
- Expertise in artisan's tools for crafting armor, magical jewelry, and dwarven axes.
- The save/check on any ability or skill check originating from a source of evil or undead is reduced by 2.
- +2 strength AND +1 constitution or +1 wisdom
- Once per Long Rest: The dwarf may reroll a check or save based on history or religion. This can be after the result is known and the dwarf can choose the highest result.

-Sigil of Zerdun-
Zerdun Dwarves
The Dwarves of Zerdun are led by the blood brother of Bogdan Zerdun, Thorund. Early in his life he was the younger brother of Bogdan and saw the passion in which the much older brother led his people. Little to the human leader's knowledge, young Thorund watched his scheming from the shadows. Because of this spying the young dwarf was able to save many Dwarves when Aeskurr collapsed beneath the weight of the mountain. He would go on to save many people in the month of tragedy that would stain the history of Dwarvenkind forever.
The Fall of Aeskurr
Prose | Jan 21, 2021
After this horrific event he would lead many dwarves, most the same age as him or younger, to the mountains west of Aeskurr. They settled there and spent the next 100 years carving out the caverns that would forever be known as the Kingdom of Zerdun. Early after the founding of the grand halls the dwarves began to experience attacks by dark spirits. It was almost as if the spirits had awoke from the stone to seek vengeance on their trespass. One grand spirit cast a horrible spell on the now youthful Thorund, a flesh to stone spell, which gravely wounded the young dwarf. He spent weeks in the infirmary where his flesh slowly scaled and turned cold, though his body grew stronger and larger. At one point he sat on his rump in the corner of the room, staring endlessly to the door. Eventually his suffering came to an end and he was one with the stone. He could meld and traverse stone as if a fish in water. He took this curse as a blessing and assisted his fellow kin in purging these evil spirits from the halls of their newly founded city.

After the last of these vile fiends was slain Thorund took his place in the grand hall of the king, of which there was none at the time. The various villagers and inhabitants of Zerdun flooded into the room and surrounded him with torches, music and many a drink. They chanted loudly for him. Though his form was changed forever a strong sense of belonging filled the dwarf-turned-stone and he stood up to salute his clan. The Kingdom of Zerdun now stood strong under the leadership of the stone king.
The stat bonuses for the Dwarves of Zerdun are as follows:
