With the Humans

The party has decided to accompany the humans in some form or fashion. They will be brought to a war chief and infer some new things about the world they've been dropped into.

Plot points/Scenes

In a cacophany of noise, after the humans have thoroughly raided the drider village (ignoring the party's protests/fighting them for loot), they march back to their leader's camp. If the party attempts to run after aligning themselves with the humans, they will be surrounded and restrained, also very much hurt if they struggle too much. At the camp, you are taken to the camps leaders, a male elf and a pregnant human woman sitting tangled up with each other. They are quite curious about you, especially your armor and weapons. When it is made clear you can't understand them, they suspect you are Mimics or some other trick and will attempt to lock you in chains and strip you of all you have. Escaping at this point will be hard but not impossible; escaping after the chains will need to take real ingenuity or waiting for the next opportunity to be released in the service of the humans. The elf man has some mind-reading ability and will rudely violate your mind before releasing you, stripped of your proper armor and weapons and instead given their shitty counterparts. They won't think too much on releasing you; they think they've gotten all the interesting stuff from you without your gear. So what if you can't speak? How is that interesting or useful? While in captivity they will no doubt attempt to do some cruel "fun" things to you. Mostly some poking and prodding with blades and other messing around like with an animal. Which seems to be how they treat each other...

Once free from your bonds, you are free to roam the land once more. Improv!

If the group manages to somehow speak with the humanoids, the results will be unimpressive. They speak in short, blunt sentences and do not take persuasion or logic well and will treat you almost exactly the same as when you couldn't speak or understand a word of their language(s). If you manage to convince them you are not monsters and would like to fight them then they will reluctantly let you keep your gear (still trying to take it though) and let you fight with them and wander the camp. It is unstructured and base, fights happening everywhere, no restrooms, no bathing facilities, spotty cooking, sex happening right in the open, etc. It is squalid, disgusting, and base. No one is up for conversation beyond very basic small talk (weather/boasting of kills/impatience/jealousy/etc) and is annoyed when you try to ask about the world or the monsters. Grunts of disinterest/annoyance and "It's mine" are the most common responses to questions. If you are too annoying and persistent, a gang will form to beat you up/kill you, which won't take a huge amount of provocation since there will already be people attacking you for your gear anyway if you managed to keep it.

Unless there are several great feats of ingenuity and great amounts of patience, the party will be expelled or flee from the humanoids one way or another, and they are free to roam.
