The Invasion of Serodechia
The natives of the land now known as Serodechia used t be far more nomadic than the Doornian invaders. Even those who settled down occasionally moved to a different area to let the land recover. Not so the Doornians. Imperial Corthalia was by far the most successful. Most other invaders found the land too harsh and the inhabitants too aggressive. Corthalia had aces to something which their forbears lacked, magic. The Elves of Corthalia were one of the few races who truly mastered magic at this time. While other races felt the effects and called to other planes for aid, Corthalian mages harnessed the magic latent in their surroundings. The natives, displeased with their new neigbors and their permanant homes attempted to send the settlers back to where they came from, first with negotiations, than with war as Corthalian sentiments grew more hostile towards them.
The Conflict
Prelude
As Corthalian settlers made their permanent home on the eastern coast of Serodechia, the local Roani and humanoid tribes attempted to teach them more about the land they wee destroying. The setlers of old Arton at first attempted to collaborate with the locals, trading for various goods in exchange for food. Unfortunately, once the Artonese learned what was safe to eat, they used magic to accelerate the growth of the plants, depleting the soild of nutrients in the process and ousting other plants which the local wildlife lived off of. The human tribe of Oira in particular took issue with these practices and warned that unless the Artonese learned to farm the natural way, they would suffer from the natives and Nature herself.
Deployment
The depletion of local resources forced the Roani to act. They raided Arton and either killed or stole much of the livestock. The humans were caught scavenging the fields for food several times. In retaliation, the mayor of Arton sent fifty soldiers and volunteers into the wildernes to cull the raids and stop the natives from ever raiding again, by any means nececary.
Conditions
The settlers had many advantages over the natives. Disease ravaged the natives while the settlers were immune or easily healed with magic. The settlers also accelerated the growth of their crops and the maturity of their livestock artificially, leading to more filling but ultimately less nutritious food. The natives knew the land well and used certain plants and hideaways well in their raids. They once poisoned the water with a loal root which the settlers' mages were not familiar with. That was the greatest victory the natives had.
Outcome
Due to the rapid spread of disease, human tribes posed little threat to the expansion of Serodechia. Due to extensive campaigns against Roani and other local beast races, those races also posed little threat due to either fear or lack of population.
Aftermath
Serodechia was founded and expanded with some respect for local tribes. Eventual negotiations resulted in the establishment of trade routes and reserved spaces for the locals whileSerodechia established itself around the most influential tribes.

Legacy
Today, Serodechia is a thriving, independant republc with some peculiar internal geography. On official maps, local reserves are recognized as separate nations. Stil, some local tribes were asimilated in the initial invasion and there are some who wish to oust Doornian Serodecians altogether.
