Autumn

If you know where to look and you're willing to risk your neck." - Dykare Ferehorn DiverThe twisting caves of the Azdari Flats hide the settlement of Autumn. The Humans stumbled upon the settlement while taking refuge on their usual nomadic route. They discovered the hollow cavern, decorated by giant luminescent crystals. Carved into the walls of the cavern were great buildings and staircases, the non crystal stalagmites and stalagtites held building sof their own too. Through the centre of this large, hollow carvern ran a river. After clearing a number of Grottine from the settlment the Humans decided to attempt to repair and make safe the cavern. They managed to do so and now Autumn is the point of rest during the Autumn migration. Apart from the population of sick and elderly that are left behind each season of migration. There are a few young and strong Humans that reside permanently in Autumn, they gather food for the inhabbitants and mine for valuables and crystals from the ancient, Grottine that still pose a threat every now and again.
Demographics
The Population is all Human but mostly made up of the sick or old. There are however a number of strong and young people that are left behind for defense and gathering the food for the population.
Government
Tribal Nomadic. Laws and decisions are made by the Elders of Autumn , though recently the following has fallen on Dykare Ferehorn Diver.
Defences
There is only one entrance to the settlement from the surface, other entrances come from deep underground and each is protected by a great stone gate. Inside of the settlement the residences are only accessible via narrow stairways, or by using the rope lifts connected to the waterwheels that can be disconnected and cut if need be.
Industry & Trade
Most of the able bodied inhabbitants delve into the mines to retrieve Rock Crystals and valuable minerals.
Infrastructure
There are a few watermills dotted along the river that runs through the cavern and bridges that cross it.

Guilds and Factions
The Spelunking Guild - Run by Dykare, this guild has gained a lot of traction recently, amassing a following of able bodied citizens to enter the ancient mines.
The Ancient Recovery Society - A small faction of researchers that want to recover and restore ancient artefacts and knowledge. They have made great strides in Rock Crystal manipulation.
History
Originally established by the Grottine, little is known about who they were before they became feral. When the Humans found the settlement most of it was still intact and only minor repairs had to be made. Now it is used as an autumnal stop for the nomadic Humans.
Architecture
Great stone buildings carved from the rock face, adorned with carved pillars and carvings of the ancient rock species. Of late the walls are adorned with hides and bones, as well as the valuable minerals that lie beneath the city.
Geography
Autumn is located in a hollowed cavern, beneath the Azdari flats, though there is no view of the surface from the settlement, the great luminecent crystals glow gently and create beautiful shapes and natural structures.
