Gresham

Gresham is the capital city of House Smith territories. It is located within the region of Gresham. Gresham is a city partly underground, partly above ground and partly inside a mountainside. It is a well fortified city because of its location between cliff faces and hilly grounds. It is also the home of many forts, dungeons, cliff-faces and caves. Despite having access to a body of water, a lake named Lake Laurel, House Smith only utilise the long and wide river running through the city and through the inside of the mountain. Gresham is one of the more central capital cities in Greedpeaks, and one of the few without ocean access. There are only two villages close to Gresham: Pillard and Quistaria. However, both provide good trade routes and are two settlements bustling with talented tradesmen and craftsmen that supplement the mining trade and culture of Gresham.

Demographics

Gresham is a closed society. Whilst there are humans and elves often in more senior and lofty positions of power, the majority of the popular is dwarven. Humans and elves are allowed to settle if they can prove intelligence and their worth to a society dependent on hard work and jobs. There are strict restrictions on others entering the city. Visitors and/or settlers of other races are only validated through the Gresham Home Affairs Office (GHAO). There is a general distrust towards tieflings, however tieflings are almost never actually in Gresham.
