Dark Matter

Dark Matter is responsible for the gradual expansion of the universe, and can be harvested by technologically advanced civilizations and used to build Alcubierre Rings, capable of faster-than-light travel.

Material Characteristics

Invisible to organic senses, requiring various electromagnetic and radiological sensors to detect.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Completely inert without an Alcubierre Ring. Acts as a metaphysical gas which can be compressed into specialized containers.

Geology & Geography

Dark Matter occurs all throughout the universe, but only trace amounts exist in each stellar system. These deposits are effectively infinite but only a small amount can be siphoned from a given area at once. To maximize collection, siphoning stations should be set up in as many systems as possible.
