Isger

Since it's founding, Isger has been a vassal state in the south-central region of Avistan. It was formed when the older Taldorian Empire conquered the area (2133 AR), but was later annexed by Cheliax to the west when Cheliax broke away from Taldor (4081 AR). Cheliax would soon become the strongest human empire of the Inner Sea Region, and this strength was reinforced diabolically during the Thrune Ascendancy when the Thrice Damned House of Thrune made a pact with the devils of Hell to claim the throne of Cheliax (4640 AR). As a vassal state, Isger's prize was the natural resources that were extracted by Taldor and Cheliax, and the flow of the Cornerica River which bisects Isger from East to West as a major trade route across this portion of the continent.
