Dawn Vigil
Acolytes of Pelor, the Dawnfather, the Dawn Vigil is one of the largest and most widespread holy orders in the Federation, as the Dawnfather is one of the gods most revered by the common folk. Many cities hold a temple of the Dawnfather, and such see the presence of his most devoted followers. The Dawn Vigil was formed to aid in the restoration of farming communities across the Federation in the wake of the calamity preceding the Grand Ascension, and have continued their work as helpers of the common folk ever since.
Structure
The Dawn Vigil is made up primarily of clerics and paladins, with a number of bards in their ranks as well. The Dawn Champion, high priest of the order, is responsible for maintaining the Fount of Light in Dawnscar. Across the Federation, the Vigilant work out of temples, and lone acolytes can often be encountered traveling between settlements as members of caravans or adventuring parties.
Public Agenda
The Dawn Vigil's duty is to spread the faith of the Dawnfather, attend his followers and enact his will across the land, and defend the common folk against evil which seek to prey upon them. They often ally themselves with the Pale Ravens of the Raven King against the likes of undead and abominations from the Underdark, as well as creatures from the Feywild and Shadowfell which encroach upon Weirwalden.
