Circle of the Wilds

Acolytes of Baerdora, the Wildmother, the followers of the Circle of the Wilds are a mysterious and reclusive order, often staying in the wilderness far from civilization. The order was created alongside the Pale Ravens to combat rising undead in the wake of the Grand Ascension, and in the past centuries have remained custodians of the wild lands, tending to all manner of animals and the preservation of forests, all to preserve the balance of the world.

Structure

The Circle of the Wilds is a very loosely organized order, with leadership falling to the Mother's Coven, a select group of druids chosen by the Wildmother herself to receive her instructions and conduct prayers in her name. While not all druids are directly members of the Circle of the Wilds, all druids are considered representative of the Wildmother's purpose.   Acolytes receive comparatively little training, and are instead encouraged to follow signs from the Wildmother directly in their service to her. Acolytes outside of Harrenheim often must learn the ways of the Wildmother on their own, while those close to her primary temple in Harrenheim may receive tutoring from elder druids and clerics.

Public Agenda

Much as the Shieldmaiden's Bulwark is responsible for maintaining order in the civilized territories of the Federation, the druids of the Wildmother are tasked with preserving the untamed land. They often work with their sister guild, the Pale Ravens, to purge the lands of undead energy corrupting the wilderness.
