Arcanum Prestige
One of the most diverse orders in its purpose, the Arcanum Prestige is made up of those faithful to the Spellbinder, youngest of the Ascendant gods. One of the last holy orders to be formed after the Ascension, its public members are considered some of the foremost experts on matters of the arcane, and often consulted whenever unknown magical beasts or new minor fractures of energy are discovered across the Federation. Members of the Arcanum Prestige also lend their power to the defense of the border between the Federation and the Valzard Dominion.
Structure
The Arcanum Prestige is split into two Faces: the Face of the Crescent and Face of Midnight. Members of the Crescent Face are responsible for the public appearance of the order, and are often made up of sorcerers, wizards, and renowned bards. The likes of warlocks, rogues, and lesser bards make up the Midnight Face, a secretive offshoot of the Arcanum Prestige who uphold the Spellbinder's tenets through less conventional means.
Public Agenda
The Crescent Face, being largely made up of mages, has created a number of halls and colleges of magical study across the Federation, teaching aspiring sorcerers and wizards. Upkeep of temples and the festival of the Spellbinder falls under the purview of Crescent Faced bards and clerics. Members of the Midnight Face are often vigilantes, spies, and courtesans, and a number of salacious clubs and brothels are manned or run by members of the Midnight Face.
