Zynx (a.k.a. “Mirage”)

Zynx was born in a coastal town to two Virdae, an odd one out in a fishing town.He would spend his days performing, trying to motivate the fishers and make his parents proud. They never were. As soon as he could, he left with nothing but his voice. He quickly discovered people in larger cities would gladly pay a few copper for his songs and made his way up in the world, ending up as a singer in a seedy bar. A well-known criminal took interest in him and offered him a job that was all he'd ever wanted, he ignored his gut and took the job. He was living happily for months, until he stumbled over his set one night and his boss gave him the scar beneath his left eye and kicked him out. The boss would soon realise a large percentage of his clientele were only there for the music and the bar quickly shut down. Having some small amount of fame from the bar, he slowly built himself up again, becoming a well known performer with a large following and eventually falling in love with a Nodian who left their home because they stood out. Their love was one for the ages, the two of them performed together and became the most famous duo in the area. All was well until his old boss resurfaced and with his lackeys, kidnapped the both of them, killing he nodian and leaving a scar across Zynx's right cheek. He was left with his love's dying body and did the only thing he could think of, singing. He closed his eyes and sang until his throat was raw, hoping to provide some comfort before they died. Though Zynx left alive, he was left with a far greater injury. His heart was shattered. He tried to live on, to give them the best legacy he could, but he couldn't live without them. After what would soon be known as his final performance, he returned to their home, isolating himself from the world, eventually donning his lover's silver necklace and dying from a broken heart, alone in the world.
Days after his death, following his meager funeral, he woke up again. A new song flowing in his veins and a large pair of horns weighing his head down, he aspired to rise again and destroy his ex-employer. With the help of his newfound abilities, he clambered into fame again faster than before. He created a new persona for himself "Mirage" the careless singer, but the novelty quickly wore off, leaving him alone again. So he left the city in search of something new, finding Vaneas and the Grove.
