Divine
Basic Information
Anatomy
Divine are the perfected form of humans, with few differences. Most divine have brightly glowing eyes, veins with odd colours of blood flowing within them and are significantly taller than the averge human. Though it is rare, some divine are blessed with a brightly coloured skintone, with strange metallic patterns dappling their coloured skin. Most divine stronly resemble the person they were before their passing, just better. Some divine are given the ability to choose their appearance before returning to life.
Genetics and Reproduction
New divine are reborn when a human with an affinity for a particular area dies, at which point they are revived. Occasionally, a divine has no affinity for another realm they are made to control. When this happens, another human with an affinity for that realm is reborn as a new deity for that realm.
Growth Rate & Stages
Divine tyically take a few months to rebirth after they pass. There has never been a witness to this process, meaning the exact details are not known. However, it is clear that whatever happens to the vessels makes them significantly more powerful.
Ecology and Habitats
The divine typically spend their lives around their devoted followers, granting them blessings and reveling in their gifts and worship. Some gods however, despise their followers for what the religion has made of them and choose to live as nomads, typically travelling the world in small groups, or settling in an isolated area.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Divine don't have needs, many choose to enjoy the luxuries of food and drink while living with their worshippers.
Biological Cycle
Eventually, every divine grows bored with the life they have lived for the past years and surrender. As a divine surrenders, another human is born, destined to assume the role of the previous diety upon their own death. As human lifespans can vary by decades, the amount of time it takes for a divine to resurface is unpredictable. While the divine of a city is missing, their followers tend to become anxious and send search parties looking for the successor of their diety, often a child st thr time.
Behaviour
Divine typically act as if they are superior to humans, which they are, but they choose to flaunt it and torment those beneath them, while all having the constant, unnerving fear of their creator.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Divine have heightened senses that allow them to be more aware of their surroundings, keeping them alive longer. However, this ability causes many divine to be driven to surrender before they've had an impact on anything, as the constant barely audible noises cause any being to become extremely paranoid for a short adjusting time.
