Mental characteristics

Personal history

Nyra was born in the Twili Realm in the temple of Sol. She trained as a priestess and showed incredible magical aptitude. Since the leader of the twili is chosen by magical strength, many believed that Nyra would become the next leader. However, when it came to the series of duels that would determine the leader, Nyra purposefully lost. She felt it was more important for her to work in the temple... and also she did not want to be separated from Sumrak, her guard and life long friend.   One day, Nyra received a message from Sol:   “I am maintaining a seal on a dark sorcerer, Magnus the Dimension Eater. He is reaching into realms adjacent to our Twilight Realm. He is taking what magic he can from there and using it to break the seal I have on him. He is acting suddenly and swiftly, so you must too. Gather your people, and prepare for the worst.”   When Magnus corrupted Sol, he put the entire twilight realm into darkness. The twili became terribly sick and began to transform into horrible monsters. Nyra began to show signs of transformation and passed out from the strain. In desperation, Sumrak tried to save Nyra by going to to seek advice from Sol in her chambers, a place that is forbidden to be entered except by the High Priestess on the first of the new year. He was instructed on the location of the last mirror leading to Hyrule and told to go their to save her.   Once in Hyrule, Nyra immediately was healed. Her transformations reverted and she was fine. However, some of the transformed twili chased Sumrak and Nyra to the mirror and tried to follow them out. Nyra decided they should break the mirror for now, and so she and Sumrak both shattered it.   Nyra is sending letters to Hyrule Castle to get an escort or representative to come to her. She is trying to inform them of Magnus's existence.   Nyra's sickness and transformations seem to happen in random fits. They are directly tied to Sumrak's actions, though, and are caused by a seed of darkness placed inside her by Magnus.
