    Divine Symbols & Sigils

    The Moon

The lunar Cycle synchronizes with various observed cycles of life, and the journies that The Vulture Man ultimately joins near their end on Gehane.

    The Vulture

While he may not be their primal, Vultures, and other scavenger animals have become associated with him, as even in death, the mortal body travels on, be it through becoming a meal, cremation, or the rare buriel.

    The Traveling Staff

Occasionally adorned with the harvesting blade of a Scythe, the staff is associated with dual symbolism of the Harvest, but also the traveler, be he a fellow one never wants to meet, or a fond companion that tries to always be there in the end.

    The Clock (Various kinds)

As time constantly turns, as does he, each second precious to get a soul to their afterlife.

    Tenets of Faith

Being a higher spirit, and less of an ascended primal, the benefits of personal cults are not as substantial to him, as they are to primals, and the ascended primals. They do grant him a small boon, but not as much as the energy the gods grant him.
This does not mean he does not at all interact with the odd pocket of worshippers he may have.
The Vulture Man is far more likely to make easier deals with those of his cults, as their actions in creating, aiding, and ministering funerary rites aid his constant soul gathering. Being beacons for him to race towards between houses, Mtu Wa Kitamaduni - in the age of the sealed Demon- is guaranteed to catch the souls of these departed.

    Divine Goals & Aspirations

Mtu Wa Kitamaduni is rewarded energy from the gods as a reward for consistently, and properly bringing souls to be judged for their final destination.   Despite his duties, he is known to occasionally strike up deals with mortals for a cost. His deals can include,
    • Telling you the most likely times, and ways you'll die.
    • Tweaking the timing of death, delaying it for a set amount of times, or delaying it until a specific moment. This depends on the deal at hand, and what he may ask of you.
    • He may even grant boons for fast traveling.
These deals are typically struck if the mortal actions agreed to help further his duty. Usually, these deals push the mortal into constant conflict with Sandlings- their warped, and contained souls being nuts he cannot crack. Destroying frees whatever is left of their soul, for him to deliver.

    Mental characteristics

    Personal history

Born of the House of Life and Death, Mtu Wa Kitamaduni was an Efreeti spirit with quite a curious dilemma, the longer he was to be outside of his birthplane, the less lifeforce he personally would have. Strange compared to his other Efreeti kin, especially the Efreeti Sultan, The Vulture man would find sympathy and a position among the Ascended Primals, the Gods. He was to bring the numerous amounts of souls of their mortal followers to them, once they've expired. Despite their particular powers and sway, the Gods were not in tune with the processes of life and death, as Mtu Wa Kitamaduni- even Thueban'aani, the Serpent Queen.   For numerous millennia, all had been well, as his duty went like clockwork, even observing these mortals spreading stories, and tales of him. That was until the Starfell Demon came to Gehane. He had not been ready when the first Demon Storms ravaged older city centers, claiming millions of lives in one fail swoop. So many souls were lost that day, contained in Sandlings of all kinds. What used to be easy collections grew into intensive races for the souls. He couldn't fight the Starfell Demon, and its legion of Sandlings head-on, but he could aid mortals in their struggle, rescheduling their ends to be just a little later.
After the war, and the culling of the number of storms, the journey from life, to death continued with only the odd disturbance.

    Failures & Embarrassments

In the times before the sealing, almost uncountable amounts of mortals would be swallowed by the Demon Storms, their journies cut short as The Starfell Demon filled his ranks. The Vulture Man simply could not compete with the embodiment of The House of Void.
