Weaving

Weaving is the art of tapping into one's inner aura to Weave the Threads of the physical world. Practicers of this art are called Weavers.   Weavers are able to tap into their inner aura, extend it outwards, and manipulate another object's aura to change and reform it. This requires the Weaver to move the Aura in very precise ways, manipulating it in a way one would weave a tapestry (hence the name). Some effects require the Weaver to make very small finger movements, while grander ones might require dance-like performances. The movements needed also vary greatly from object to object, though there are still patterns that can be learned and utilized. In this way Weaving is a hard art to learn and one that requires lateral thinking and good intuition.   Weaving is generally split into three practices called Threads - Matter, Energy, and Aura.   Thread of Matter is the manipulation of solids, liquids, and gasses. With this Thread a Weaver can move objects (as much as their physical properties and gravity allow), change their molecular structure, mend or break objects. In modern Weaving this Thread is used in a multitude of ways, be it building, chemistry, research of physics, and many others.   Thread of Energy allows for moving energy between objects. It is, however, impossible to create energy from nothing. In combination with Thread of Matter, this Thread is used in many sciences. It is also used to move matter between its three stages by either adding or removing energy from it.   Thread of Aura is the most abstract of Threads. Affecting Aura itself can prevent other Weavers to interact with an object. In this way, Weavers can create magical barriers for objects, though of course this protection has to be kept up manually and can be broken by a more skilled Weaver. On a higher level Aura can even manifest into the real world, gaining physicality. It is still invisible, but can touch objects. In this way Weavers create magical armour to protect against physical harm, or grab hold of objects and move them, akin to telekinesis.
Endless wealth?   A skilled weaver has amazing control over the physical world. With enough skill and knowledge, it is possible to transform one object into another entirely. This, however, is a slow and arduous process. It is best done with already closely related materials, such as turning iron into gold. It is made even harder if the weaver manipulates organic matter - transforming a tree leaf into a daisy can take days of work. A notoriously difficult substance to manipulate or replicate is silver. See more about this in Thaumaturgy.
Weaving and Life   Living organisms are a combination of the three Threads, of course, however they still possess qualities that are nearly impossible to define. Over the millennia of progress in Weaving and the recent centuries of progress in Thaumaturgy, no one was ever able to create or bring back life. Fruit can be brought from rot to ripeness, yet that is only a physical transformation. Trees can be mended from stray branches, yet they will never grow. Flesh replicas of bodies can be made, without having a single breath of life within them.
