The Geography of the Sun Kingdom

Geography

Location: The Sun Kingdom is surrounded by the outskirts of the crystal sea, which means it's abouslutly freezing, but it also means that the water has the faintest of healing qualities and is very fresh. This allows for the lush spirit forests to grow and flourish and for the civilizations to thrive there. There's no short of greenery in the Sun Kingdom and the Kingdom's settlements are built on rolling hills and grass and field valleys.    The Sun Kingdom was is described by others as a beautiful lush land of Earth, but the settlements have made the outskirts a bit barren, its only when you get further into the forests is where you see what they're talking about.    The Sun Kingdom uses their high and rolling hills to their advantage. They build their city's and palaces on high hills in order to help keep them protected.

Ecosystem

The Sun Kingdom is the second Kingdom with the most spirits inhabiting it around and in their forests and caves and valleys. It's home to creatures and plants that thrive in warmer climates as the Sun Kingdom is a very hot place (surprise, surprise).    Plants: However, a lot of the plants there are unfortunately quite poisonous due to it's hot climate meaning a lot of people normally stay away from the forests. This is the reason why the Sun Kingdom relies on trade and agriculture.    Animals: There is a decent amount of animals living in the Sun Kingdom, perfect for farming but they still use trade with the Moon Kingdom for their meat. The animals normally don't' cross with the settlements in the middle of the Sun Kingdom and keep to the outskirts and forests.

Ecosystem Cycles

Spring- The crops begin having the right temperatures and rainfall to grow again and as a result people begin to start to prepare their fields for their crops and start planting so that the crops are ready for harvest by the summer. The plants start growing and animals start to come out of hibernation, but this also means the forests have gotten more dangerous again and this is when people start staying away from the forests again.    Summer- This is when they start harvesting their crops and breeding their animals so that they have enough food for the winter. It's the hottest so their magic really thrives and this helps with food production.    Autumn- The weather starts getting cooler so this is when animals begin to go into hibernation and the plants start dying. The forest becomes safer for people to enter and the spirits start keeping to themselves more as a result. This is also when they start their animal farming.   Winter- This is when they start killing the animals for their meat and they carefully perceive their crops throughout the winter for everybody. This is when they trade the most too with the Moon Kingdom. The forest isn't as poisonous as most of the poisonous plants have started dying and people can adventure out into the forestry a bit more.

Localized Phenomena

The Sun Kingdom is prone to sand storms due to them boarding the Moon Kingdom. They also quite familiar to thunder storms too and even forest fires due. These can naturally happen but they also sometimes happen due to the spirits who might get pissed.

Climate

Spring- The climate is quite warm, similar to Mediterranean weather. Cool breezes mixed with warm sunny temperature and heavy rainfall, perfect for their crops. They're mostly prone to thunderstorms during this time.    Summer- This is when things start getting really hot, their magic is able to thrive the most during this season and tourists and scholars flock to the Sun Kingdom to explore it's history or for scholarly pursuits. Temperatures can rise up to 30 and 40 degrees and the Kingdom is most prone to sand storms and forest fires during this time.    Autumn- The weather starts getting a lot cooler, although there is still a summer like breeze. There starts to be more rain and although there are still summer spells it starts getting overall cooler.    Winter- The sun still shines bright but it's quite cold now around this time. There is rarely any frost or snow in the Sun Kingdom but it does happen around time, escpially the later months in the year. The Kingdom isn't prone to a lot of natural disasters around this time.

Fauna & Flora

Many of the plants that grow in the Sun Kingdom are plants that can easily survive and thrive in warm climates. Some of the plants that are often grown are poisonous due to the spirits that live there and the climate they thrive in.  Some types of plants often found:
  • Some fungus
  • Sweet smelling flowers
  • Very pollinated plants
  • Leafy trees
Most people don't go into the forests during the summer as the poisonous plants are able to grow the most there and some poisons can be air spreaded as well. Some are very deadly, others just make them sick or sleepy but most people believe it's better not to take the risk. During the spring or autumn, thats when people go and can mostly safely collect and grow the sweet spelling flowers so they can use them for décor, business or even medicine sometimes.

Natural Resources

Medicine: Some medicines for small ailments such as colds or even to counteract certain poisons can be found in the forests of the Sun Kingdom if people know what they are looking for.   Food: Most of the food the Sun Kingdom gets is from farming the grass lands and rivers they live there by. They can find their meat inhabiting the grass fields and certain animals in the forests as well.   Metals: Certain crystals are able to be found in the grounds or caves of the Sun Kingdom. Mostly on the outskirts. Certain crystals they are able to find included things like bismuth, pearls and even some rubies.    Other important materials:
