Ruler (Ru-ler)

Rulers are the most important people in Garda, Each kingdom had a different ruler. Some kingdoms had an Empress or Emperor, some had a Queen or King, some had a chief but whatever they had each kingdom was ruled a powerful leader.     Rulers are at the top of the social ladder. They live in lavish castles, wear expensive clothes like silk and eat high quality, and not always healthy, foods.      Rulers are responsible for the kingdoms financial and war issues, the wellbeing of their subjects, the wellbeing of earth and dealing with serious crimes (like using dark magic). Once a ruler dies, their eldest legitimate child takes the throne.

Requirements

In order to be a ruler they must have natural magical ability and the must be the eldest legitimate child of the past ruler.

Appointment

There can only be one ruler (although there have been exceptions to this rule) and when the past ruler has died the eldest legitimate child of that late ruler will succeed them. There is a coronation that will take place and after that coronation the person being coronated will become the new ruler of whatever kingdom they're part of.

Duties

The ruler's duties 
  • Managing the wellbeing of all their people
  • Handling the kingdoms financial and war problems 
  • Dealing with REALLY serious crimes (like using dark magic) 
  • Managing the wellbeing of the people on earth
  • Making alliances with other kingdoms

  • Keeping the kingdom under control

  • Taking care of their own family

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

A ruler can either give up the throne themselves, be kicked off the throne, or in most cases they just die and the throne gets passed on to their child.

The title is in effect then after the war and after most of the rulers die it goes out of effect but once they get recarnated it goes back into effect.
