Reapers (Reap-ers)

Now, I have no idea where to start when talking about this group of people.
But I can just say now, we're probably going to be here for a long time.
So Reapers, there is a lot about them so we should probably start talking about them, giving some basic information.
Well, Reapers are a group that work for the Government and they mostly arrest or kill Pollutes (Those are criminals btw) in order to keep the world safe and because they were ordered too by the Government and have no say in the matter at hand. Would that work in the real world? Probably not but this is just a fictional option for what could happen in our world so let's just see it as an alternate universe for the moment, yeah?
So, if you wanted to be a Reaper, where would you start? Well, it would start when you are a child.
Many people don't understand this, but making sure someone is able to live with the fact that their job will have them murdering people on a daily basis, it takes a long time to keep them mentally and physically stable. That's why, it starts young so it is seen as normal to them.
You would place your child in a different school system where the scouts/kids would learn the basics of any school, while also being trained as a Reaper. This would go on from ages six to twelve. After that, they would go to a higher stage of learning which would make them cadets and would have them there until they are eighteen.
Once that is done, they have to decide. They can either become a Reaper or they can lead a normal life and get a normal, probable high paying job because of the education they got.
That is how a Reaper is created.
Although, there is one more step to becoming a Reaper. You have to get a tattoo once you have decided to become a Reaper instead of getting a normal job.
So what is the Tattoo you have to get to show that you are now a Reaper to the public? Well, it's a scythe, an outline of one at least, done on the inside of the left wrist with a circular black background placed all around it. On this tattoo, there lay four words, the first two words written at the top of the tattoo and the last two words written at the bottom. These words read "Luck of a Reaper" as to show how much power a person who had been made a Reaper now has.
But here's the thing, there are different types of Reapers.
If you have been just made a Reaper or you lower than average on your tests during your training, you would be a Paras Reaper. Paras Reapers are just the Police but the new ones as the old Police were removed even before the Thanatos Government took power. These Reapers can be power hungry but they'll probably never get to so just, try to avoid them, alright?
If you have been just made a Reaper, have been a Reaper for a long time or did higher than average on your tests during training (Or maybe your parents have money), you would be a Valkyrie Reaper, Good for you! A Valkyrie Reaper goes on missions in a team for the Government and are paid more money but there are less of these types of Reapers because they are seen as the 'big guns' that don't really need to be brought in.
Now, if you are a member of the Government itself, you would be a Reaper as well. But you would be the highest rank that a Reaper can be, which is known as a Grimm Reaper. As I've said, a Grimm Reaper is a part of the Government, basically the leaders of each place and the rich and all that jazz.
But the last rank, the worst possible rank of Reaper you can be, a rank that you can only get if you have wronged the Government in some ways and gone against them, is a Sorrow Reaper. Sorrow Reapers were created in a shameful way to show how Reapers who have broken the law are worse than the general public breaking the law and becoming a Pollute. Sorrows were seen as dirty, impure in some way, and most of the time they would have to run away to get away from it all. Terrible, right?
Now, let's go back to talking about Valkyrie Reapers because there is still some stuff that I haven't mentioned yet.
So as there are not many Reapers who are able to be chosen to become Valkyries, in the main timeline (as time is a bit broken in this world) there are three Valkyrie groups, all with Latin names and in which they all have different purposes in their job. The three groups are known as Moreins, Dolor and Tempus, and if you know a bit of Latin, you might sort of know where this is heading at the moment.
There's not a lot that we can talk about with these groups but I'll just break down what they basically are.
Moreins is known as dying and it focuses on missions with people who are dying or need to die.
Dolor deals with suffering and torture so you can probably guess what they do.
Tempus are the ones who deal with time and trying to keep the timeline pure and intact.
But let me just tell you this now, just because someone is in, I don't know, Moreins, it doesn't mean that they can't be given a mission or task that has something to do with another group like Dolor ot Tempus. It's just sort of a "We're fine with you doing any of the missions even if they don't match our original plans for you, just get the job done" vibe that the Thanatos Government and most Valkyrie Reapers are fine with that as it can make their job easier sometimes.
There are still some things I think about, like, would Valkyrie and Grimm Reapers be considered Celebrities in this world? Like there aren't any other celebrities and some Valkyries do like the limelight so would they be seen as the celebs of their world? If so, how would their stan accounts work? "omg, my Valkyrie love just slayed a mother of three because she was unmarried, I'm in love." Like??? How would it work realistically? Would there even be stan accounts as things from the past are banned or what? How would a Valkryie/Grimms get cancelled online? Like, nothing is as bad as murder so there is either some wacky reasons for people being cancelled or there's some straight up disgusting stuff happening in the Reaper groups. Are these really plot holes? No, no one was even thinking about it in the first place, I just brought it up. Are you now going to be doing the same type of thinking I was doing? Yes, yes you are.
So, tell me, would you like to be a Reaper? If you wouldn't, why? And if you do want to be a Reaper, what is wrong with you?
