Avians are bird-like demihumans from America, although one of the thinned out species exists in Eurasia. They are the only Inhumans besides dragons capable of flying.

Lecocephali lived in North America during the Stone Age. Like the Otorongi, they actively hunted people settled on the plains of the continent, until they finally forced them to hide in the mountains. Like their feline companions from the south, over time, the Lecocephalous left behind a bipedal upright species, also possessing wings - ayks.

Лекокефалы обитали в Северной Америке во время Каменного века. Также как и Оторонги, они активно охотились на людей, расселённых по равнинам континента, пока окончательно не вынудили их попрятаться по горам. Подобно своим кошачьим товарищам с юга, со временем Лекокефалы оставили за собой прямоходящий бестиальный вид, также обладающий крыльями - айков.

The Ayk

The Ayk are birdlike Inhumans, the heirs of the Lecocephalians. They may look like different birds, but only predatory - eagles, hawks, falcons and others like that. They are very fragmented: rarely a tribe has more than a dozen of these creatures. At the head of the various Native American tribes in the north of the continent, they acted as wise mentors and leaders. Haykes suffered the same fate as many of the original inhabitants of the region: the diseases brought by the Europeans wiped out most of the population, while the rest were herded onto the reservations. As a result, aiki turned out to be birds unable to live in captivity.

The KanAyk

From the union of the Aiks with humans, two types of offspring appeared. Or new full-fledged aiki with wings, a mighty body and keen eyesight. Or KanAiks - undersized crow-like entities, devoid of flight and speechlessness. At first they were simply killed at birth, but over time they stopped doing it, in the hope that they could grow into something sensible. Most often, already in adulthood, they were expelled from the tribes. At the beginning of the first millennium AD, there were so many Kanayks that they began to stray into groups and migrate, looking for people that would shelter them. It happened on the Yucatan Peninsula.

Либо КанАйки - низкорослые вороноподобные сущности, лишённые полёта и дара речи. Сначала их просто убивали при рождении, но со временем перестали это делать, в надежде, что они смогут вырасти во что-то дельное. Чаще всего уже во взрослом возрасте они изгонялись из племён. В начале первого тысячелетия нашей эры КанАйков стало так много, что они стали сбиваться в группы и мигрировать, искать народ, что их приютит. Это произошло на полуострове Юкатан.

In Central America, they were able to build their civilization, leading the Mayan peoples. Kanayk easily fit into the beliefs of the local people and became the high priests of various cities. Judging by some very recently deciphered records, they managed to successfully fool the population of Central America for almost seven hundred years, until the "conspiracy of the priests" was uncovered in the city of Vitzna. The Kanayks were collected and sacrificed at the top of the local pyramid. The fire of the uprising flared up so badly that soon all the cities donated their birds. And immediately after that, the region was engulfed in devastation and famine. Deciding that this is how the gods punish the Maya for disobeying the Kanaykam, the Indians sent groups of heroes to the north, from where they brought new non-human "bastards". The cycle was almost repeated: In the XIII century, the Canaiks rebelled again, but this time the birds gathered together and staged a ritual suicide, cursing the Mayan land forever and ever.

И сразу после этого регион охватили разруха и голод. Решив, что так боги карают майя за непослушание КанАйкам, индейцы отправили группы героев на север, откуда те привели новых нелюдских "ублюдков". Цикл почти повторился: В XIII веке против КанАйков снова восстали, но на этот раз птицы собрались вместе и устроили ритуальное самоубийство, прокляв землю Майя на веки вечные.

The Verge has a theory that North American lecocephals were much more powerful than birds, and had the ability to fly across great oceans. This is probably the basis of the eastern myth of the roc bird, according to alternative historians. It's not entirely clear where the ability to control thunder and lightning came from, but Grani archaeologists did find the remains of giant birds in a rather storm-haunted valley inside the Zagros Mountains in Persia.

В Грани есть теория, что североамериканские лекокефалы были намного мощнее птиц, и обладали способностью перелетать через великие океаны. Вероятно, это и стало основой восточного мифа о птице Рух, считают альтернативные историки. Не совсем понятно, откуда взялась способность управлять громом и молниями, но археологи Грани действительно обнаружили останки гигантских птиц в довольно часто посещаемой штормами долине внутри гор Загрос в Персии.
