Some who have dared to swim in the Lake Tranquille have been led to madness after encountering the poisoned mind of Xaxos. Though none has seen him in his watery prison at the bottom of the lake, those who have encountered his mind come to understand the inner turmoil and battling of will that has gone on since the War for Creation, and most mortals cannot survive the pressure of this presence on their own feeble minds. Those who have survived find themselves driven toward destruction and annihilation of both the pure good and the horrible evil. Xaxos's chaotic mind infiltrates their own so heavily that they now cannot help but feel this turmoil in themselves.
