Laketown

Lake Town is known throughout the region as the foremost exporter of Fish and Lake related Products. Using the Purification Crystals, the people of Lake Town have cleared the whole surface of the lake of Miasma by planting Buoy’s across the whole reach. This has led to the need for Outpost Watchtowers at strategic points around the lake.

Demographics

While Laketown sports a human majority, it has its fair share of halflings, gnomes, a family of half-elves, and a clan of Water Genasi whom form the Lake Guard, which patrol the waters of the lake for dangerous creatures and Sahuagin invasions. (+ 1 Warforged Militia Captain)

Government

Laketown is managed by a council consisting of the Mayor, Captain of the Lake Guard, Militia Captain, Store Master, and a small old sage named Old Ruda.

Industry & Trade

Fish is the primary export of Laketown, although Old Ruda has been teaching some members of the village to make goods and potions from the natural bounty of the lake.

History

Laketown was founded three generations ago after a man returned to Havenforge with stories of a bountiful lake. It is said the man saw a dragon who flew to the lake and lead him to it's shores before flying back toward the western sea.
