Iarni was a mediocre wizard and a low ranking member of the lords alliance. Eventually he was assigned to be the alliance’s contact in the lonely backwater town of Phandalin. The clever air of decided that he could turn this into an opportunity, and started the redbrands, controlling Phandalin as a shadowy figure.
