Guilds and Factions

Coven of the Eyeless Silver-Shields Shadows of Ormath

History

Following Lord Quwen's unfortunate end in the wetwoods at the hands of the Lizardfolk in 1374 DR. The City of Ormath started falling apart from the inside. Weak leadership allowed the then Assassin's Guild of Ormath blackmail and control nearly everyone with Ilum running the scenes in the back. Underneath the city, the beholder started to build a city of his own. When the time came, in the early 1420s DR. Domestic terrorism of the city above soon brought the city to ruin with the beholder subjugating those who left to late.    Ilum would become the open lord of Ormath by 1430 DR and would start to extend his influence to Assam in the North. Bringing with him various creatures of the underdark. The near impenetrable fortress soon became a pain in the neck for the Republic of Turmish. In 1498 DR, Ilim would join the Coalition of the Tor at the behest of Djedfre who promised him power and subjugation of the humans. The city of Assam would grow and become a major military base city for the empire in the years to come. One issue would occur when a coven of humans known as Coven of the Eyeless made an attack on Ilum who was persecuting them eventually holding the beholder hostage. This resulted in an uneasy piece where the Coven gained control of the 1st layer of Ormath.
