Personal history
Alara Moreal was born on the 15th of Eleint 1468 to a retreating cultist member named Nisa, she was soon left an orphan after her mother tried to save her from some attacking adventurers trying to make their way to the fallen angel Moreal. However, shown pity she was taken to Proskur on the outskirts of Corymr and adopted by an un and coming merchant family, the Tarrenwoods. Her father Corvus and mother Sarah were two half elves intending to seek the profit that the trader's road offered. Thriving off the spice trade, Alara was given access to the education system in Proscurl. However, it was soon established by the age of 8 that her bloodline gave her an unusual talent in the industry, having a natural charisma to her. She would talk around people often getting into trouble and gaining for herself with an innate magical ability and trickery. Given the rise of Alara and the family, she gained recognition by her early 20's. The family were given a grant to establish trade with Chult for the Kingdom of Corymr sending Alara to see what could potentially await.
The caravan to Chult however, was a long journey spanning a few years with the group traveling with her by foot. This distant travel group would soon pick up various misfits including the exiled Drow witch Qilue Miadi and her personal hired bodyguard an adventurer named Godfred Lazar. During this time she became a trained swordsman and trained by Qilue in the art of magical enhancement. Despite this time however, she failed to ever achieve her goal with the merchants of Chult not finding the agreement reasonable due to the distance of travel. Feeling defeated, she would return home by the year 1497 after a 10 plus year journey.
Coming back a changed woman, she no longer desired to stay in the trade business and made her way with Qilue whom had heard of a growing unrest for people trying to take back their city. The two would join the forces of Nathlek as the Coalition of the Tor was formed the next year with Qilue being pardoned as a result of her joining and Alara serving in the military as an infantry unit. It didn't take long for her to rise however, with her skills and fearlessness, by the end, she became a powerful force with a group following her as a retinue known as the Swords of the Fallen. Djedfre would be the one to recognize her potential making her a general in the army by the end of the war with the Republic of Turmish.
Alara with Ilim however, would gain her fame with Ilim acting as an emissary to the storm Giants to join the war of Dragon Coast in an attempt to drive back her former people being the main negotiator in the Pact of Lightning Anvil. However, this would soon lead to her eventual disownment. Bringing the battle to the humans in the North, she would once again meet the people of Cormyr who had volunteered. Finding herself at odds with those who raised her. With this information, her citizenship was revoked and she was not allowed to see her family.
Alara would continue to grow in rank and infamy in the new Empire being known as one of the best swordsman in the empire. Her fame came with influence that would show itself during the Time of Boiling Sands in the eyar 1528. With the help of Qilue, her fellow general Atticus Omnath, and various spies whom reported to her she discovered the emperor Djedfre attempting to strike a deal with the Elder Elemental Eye. Planning to assassinate the emperor, she gathered support of Vornia Dhoda the bandit King of Priapurl and started a coup with Atticus and Heledeath Faedove, a fellow general, eventually killing the Emperor Djedfre during the Skirmish of the Black Moon. The generals fearing a power vacuum, quickly decided Alara had the best chance of keeping the Fragile empire together and installed her as the new Empress. The three would officially state the emperor died in the skirmish. However, rumors of the coup and the infamous Night of the Dagger of Black Blood remained with Alara believed to be the main culprit as she attempted to cover up any implications on her fellow generals.
Crowned Empress in the year 1528 on the 21st of Nightal at Dusk, she soon started to shape her Empire to the values she held high that she learned in Cormyr. Centralizing the government as her way of trying to keep the Empire together creating a standing levy and creating a system of vassals under various archdukes and Viziers. She would also be known for her focus and creation of the Colleges of Magic in the Empire and her conquering of Easting.
Education
Educated in the Kingdom of Corymr with a private education system. Experienced in trade negotiations while working with her parents she is known for her sharp tongue. She learned magic and music from her friend Qilue Miada. Trained with a sword and shield by Godfred Lazar.

Mental Trauma
Seeing most of her group die during their visit to Chult, she still sees their faces every day. During her time in the army of the Coalition of the Tor and Turlagh empire, she witnessed various deaths. However, her lack of forsight of the former emperor and the followers whom have been imprisoned, killed or exiled remain on her mind. To those who know her, every face of someone on the battlefield she has slain has a photo in her palace in a locked room as a memorial to their sacrifice for something they believe in.
Morality & Philosophy
Believes in the burial of all to travel to the next life. Failure of respect for the dead and fellow soldiers or merchants has led to many disputes and some killings of those whom fail to respect the fallen. She also believes that all should have a basic education and literacy so that they may communicate.
