History

Still trying to recover from the drow attack in 1374 DR. Easting never got to the glory many believed it was destined to be. Crippled financially, it could barely muster any sort of force but its fertile fields made it the desire of outsiders. However, Easting managed to keep its independence paying tribute to Iriaebor and allied with the Dwarves in the Sunset mountains known as the Bruenghor Clan. However, as the dwarves in the mountains fell under the rule of Cormyr and as they dispersed from the mountain. Easting was left vulnerable. It would fall in a bloodless attack by Empress Alara Moreal and the empire in the year 1528 DR. A dwarf politician named Thekerrahr Quickbrand was put in charge to attempt to have a seamless transition. As of current, Easting is dealing with Dwarves who haven't caused violence but openly protest in the streets.

Tourism

Town Hall

This is the current residence of the new earl of Easting. A stone building with a wooden roof. It is relatively modest and usually quite busy. Guards are often positioned here with a table in the front where people can leave their complaints.

Sunset Vale

The southern half of the city known for a beautiful view of the sunset.

Dawn of the Mountain

A shop specifically designed to reflect the first light of dawn as it crusts over the sunset mountain. With various mirrors and prisms statistically placed, at dawn it makes this rather ordinary shop shine with color. Owned by a Dwarf named Rufghus Yengen it is a general store for Easting if you can't find anything in the market.

House of the Twilight Scholars

The school is currently being built. Right now it is in place of an old warehouse that is being repurposed. Scholars can be see outside often walking around. THis is one of the few places where classes can be observed.

The Marketplace

General stalls are set up in this open area with a shrine of Waukeen in the center.

The Hook

The hook is the religious part of the city known for being the home of the wealthier or the clergy.

Torrylian Times

A local bookstore keeping tabs of local legends. It's defining feature is its sign of a mimic book. Inside, it is a neatly organized collection of books for sale mostly fantastical reads of past adventurers.

Hall of Moradin

The dwarven hall dedicated to Moradin is a rather small building. However, it is a subterranean Hall that leads to a long underground hallway. Shrines to all the dwarven gods except for Mathammor Duin, the God of Wanderers. The Church lost the shrine early to a thief. It is said to be lost forever, a sign that the Dwarves may call this place home forever.

Ruitavin's Shack

From the outside this shack almost appears abandoned yet full of life. Plant growth has taken over much of it with the hinges on the door barely even working. This is the home of the expert and now very old dwarf botanist Riatavin. Some say he has a found a cure to aging as he was present when Easting was foudned. If you are looking for herbs however, Riatavin will most likely no where to find it our additional information on the sources. Inside, random pages can be seen scattered around drawings of various plants.
