Audumbla was born from the drips of Hvergelmir Spring's eleven rivers, some time after Ymir the First Giant was born. She licked from salty mountains in Ginnungagap to nourish herself and produce four milk river of which Ymir drank and was nourished as well.
She still lives, licking salt somewhere in the cosmos.
